I finished the book, "Child of the Mist" by Kathleen Morgan.  I give it 3 stars.  I also finished, "Elantris" by Brandon Sanderson.  That one I give 3 1/2 stars.  I'll keep you posted on my next read...

The "Homemade, from scratch, Arcade Wonder!" Rick was talking to his friend, Gordie, a few months ago about helping him build an arcade machine. So the two of them, and with some help from Logan, they got to work. Rick built this from scratch!! It plays over 1400 "old favorites." It's finally complete and the 2 boys love it!

TAADAA!!!  The finished project!!  Rick and Logan finally get to enjoy the fruits of their labors!

It's almost there.  We have the body, we just need the spirit.

This is what happens when your 15 year old son, who is almost 6'1", out grows his clothes overnight.......He has to resort to raiding his dads closet! Looks like it's time to take him shopping:)

HUBBY HUMOR....

Rick had the day off and was finding things to do.  He exercised, ran some errands, conditioned our leather couches, then I mentioned to him why didn't he make the dessert that he has been wanting me to make.  I got out all the ingredients for him and told him he was ready to go!  A few minutes later, he calls me in.  I looked at him and asked him why he was using a pastry blender to mix up a cake mix and he said "because it was too thick for a mini whisk."  Of course, why didn't I think of that? LOL ;)  Then he called me in a few minutes later again.  He asked if we had any canola oil?  I said no, but this will work just fine.  I handed him vegetable oil.  He noticed that there was a can of canola oil PAM spray in the cupboard.  He said, "here's some canola oil, I'll use this!"  I said, "no, that's not the right oil."  He said, "yes it is, it says canola oil right on the can!"  "No", I said, "use the vegetable oil."  He explained to me that all he had to do was spray the canola oil in a cup until he had enough for 1/3 cup!  TeeHeeHee.  He makes me laugh! 

YW Service Project for the Huntsman Cancer Institute Radiation Wing!

These are my awesome Young Women!  We tied fleece blankets for a service project.  We are donating them to Huntsman Cancer Institute, Radiation Wing.  We tied 24 blankets.  Great job girls!

My cute mom and dad have received their mission call! CES missionaries to MICRONESIA GUAM!! Report on June 11, 2012 and serve the Lord and the people of Guam for 18 months. What a great example they are to all of their family. The youth of Guam are very blessed to have them, for their testimony and their love of the gospel. Thanks mom and dad for always inspiring me to become more than I am. Love you!

Hubby Humor...

My husband, whom I love dearly, is a dork.  He always has something to say about something.  I decided that when he says something that actually makes me chuckle and wonder to myself, "where does he come up with these?" I was going to post them.  I've missed YEARS of his so called humor, but starting today, I'm going to record them.

Rick decided he wanted to go to the grocery store with me.  I threw on some shoes and headed out the door.  He looked at me with "that" look.  I asked him if he was embarrassed to be seen with me in public.  (I was wearing a brown hoodie, turquoise plaid lounge bottoms and they were tucked into my grey UGG boots)  He continued to tell me that I needed to go put something else on, at least different shoes.  He said, "You look like you're going to groom alpacas." Good thing I can just roll my eyes and laugh at him!
