Zeitoun

I finished ZEITOUN by Dave Eggers.  I have to say...it makes you think!  What is wrong with our nation, our government and the people?  How could something like a natural disaster make everyone go nuts.  Do people not know how to react?  Why does it give one the right in their mind to loot, rob, steal, threaten, harm and even kill?  On the other hand it gave me the feeling of love, hope and faith.  There are still good people in the world.  It's not a race issue or a religious issue.  There is good and bad in everyone.  It just takes a disaster to see what you're made of.....fear and helplessness or hope and compassion.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Caslyn and Kinsie and Logan were all home with me!!! We all went to church together and Kinsie stayed all weekend. What a treat:) Rick and the girls made me dinner. We had grilled salmon, roasted asparagus and rice pilaf. Kinsie made my favorite, Lemon Glaze Cake for dessert! Logan did the dishes, thanks Logan!After dinner, we all went over to my parents house to see my mom.  Nicholle's family and David's family were both there as well.  We each made a batch of homemade ice cream and played phase 10.  It was a nice day, despite Rick thinking that it's......THE LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!

I just finished The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. Can I just say that I loved it! It was a very enjoyable read. I couldn't put it down. I definately recommend it. I give it 4 1/2 stars! I also finished Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas last week and I enjoyed it as well. I give it 4 stars.
